One result of the enactment of the Family Smoking & Prevention Act is the requirement that all advertisements for and packaging of smokeless tobacco products carry significantly larger warning labels. As you can see from the "before and after" ads shown above, the effect is quite dramatic.

This month is the one-year anniversary of the president's signing this critical legislation into law. Without his support and the leadership of many in Congress, this legislation would have floundered as it had for more than a decade prior.

As you can imagine, Congress rarely gets applauded when they do something right... and this is the type of victory we want our representatives to remember and celebrate.
